I wanted to be more in the moment and focus on being together instead of having to take direction and pose for more pictures (which were just of me, not us together). He got furious with me and made me feel guilty about how much money he spent on this camera to take pictures, saying that he bought the camera to “capture my beauty” and I should be grateful because he “did it for me”. I was crying at this point, but he doubled down on being a jerk- making me feel like I was the control freak, telling me I need to work on “demanding things be done my way all the time”. A whole lot of stuff followed, but sitting there crying on the bathroom floor of our honeymoon villa was not a great way to celebrate the start of our (short) married life together.

Dota being as top heavy as it is right now in terms of money isn't really good for the scene long term. There was a proposal for a portion of TI money to be spread out through the whole year and that was actually good if executed properly. But since we're talking about valve here, expect nothing. RIP my beloved game The extra hoops to jump through for DPC events, the extra prizemoney needed to be paid, and not being able to secure sponsorships from industries that pay better rates were all factors that made hosting valve events impossible to make money on. Turns out my wife had opened up a charge card at our bank, then got a couple of store cards around town. She had purchased some serious clothes and jewelry, but the real kicker was she had bought a horse. She had taken lessons as a child and decided this was going to be her new thing.
