My guess from reading about this is there was probably something in the title, like sexXXXxybigboobs.whatever so that people in the know would know to look for certain files with a letter or number repeated as to code it to the type of download they wanted (ie the number of Xs could be age of person in video capital B in big could be boy, capital G girl). The Guardian sells fewer copies than just about any other daily newspaper. It's readers believe that the fact they read it makes them superior, as every other newspaper is owned by Evil Corp. That they trust it more than readers of other newspapers trust their chosen paper goes only to demonstrate they are the most gullible. They have a handful of token lefties, but a lot of the journalists there nowadays are more on the "socially liberal, fiscally conservative" side. Those types would almost certainly be more comfortable with someone like David Cameron over an actual socialist. If the telegraph is second or third im not sure there is much to be gleaned from this poll. Also wonder that papers like the sun and mail are regularly derided so people may be less inclined to say they trust them, jut say some were not inclined to say they'd vote brexit or trump etc. I wouldn't be surprised to hear statements such as, oh well, I buy the paper just for the news, I obviously take everything with a pinch of salt and yet if surveyed would show they believe as many myths as ardent supporters (this goes for mail, guardian, Times and telegraph readers). As other posters have said, if you don't trust them then unless buying for some meta analysis it's difficult to believe they do not trust them. However, I'm also aware that it has a particular bias, with a range within that bias. E.g., there are more centrist/centre right type writers like Rafael Behr (part of the reason I always read his opinion pieces, he often offers a useful modifier to the prevailing Guardian view while still broadly agreeing with it), then there are others much further to the left, with the typical article falling somewhere between centrist and centre left. There are also writers in The Guardian I rarely bother with because I know I'm probably going to find them too preachy/unrealistic (Owen Jones, George Monbiot) or get annoyed with them (Jonathan Jones).
